(By I. N. Kiiihoy) ULOUK, April !. Huttou & Co. of N'ow York any: The special features in today's market were Union Pacific, Southern Pacific ami Rending among tho railroads and American Smelters, Lead and Steel issues among tho in dustrials. Market is largely technical and most of its strength coming from oversold condition. Would ndviso stop ping losses early on purchases made at this time. Volume of business has fal len oil" from yesterday owing to condi tion of weather. Paine of Boston says: The strike of the smeltermon at Doston & Montana did not have effect this morning and wns contrary to expectations. Whole list milled well until late in the day. Speculative interest in tho market is at u low ebb at present and sharp break or rallies can bo readily managed by different jmols, but they have no signifi cance. Only way to treat this market is to buy them moderately whenever it is weak. (By II. 11. Bru Co.) GLOBE, April 9. Tho stock market opened very strong tjiis morning, but a number of slocks sold oft" sevornl poinis on the close. This reaction can bo cred ited to two tilings. First, to profit tak fug on stock investments made during the recent market slump; second, to la bor troubles roported to exist at Bisbee, Ariz., and Butte, Mont. The report, however, of existing labor troubles with unions ought not to have very much influence over tho stock mar ket with as easy a money market as now exists, samo boing quoted at 2 per cent today. This alone is a good rea son for a bullish market and I look for it to strengthen up all along the line. The copper situation looks also good. Prom the Boston News Bureau of the llh: "According to a leading copper producerbooks will soon open for or ders for delivery in July on basis of 25 VI cents for electrolytic, but has not closed contracts as yet." At the Superior & Boston mine tho showing is reported bettor than ever. The vein struck about a week ago still holds out. There are twonty-fivo feot and hanging wall is not yet in sight. Ore is of the samo good quality.
