PINE BAND CONCERT
ALMOST SHOOTING SCRAPE
Thoro was n fine band concert last
ovoning by tho Globo Concert band in
front of the Silver Bolt office and it was
attended by a large crowd. All of
tho selections wero well received and
heartily applauded. In ono of tho se
lections, descriptive of a hunt, several
revolver shots caused considerable ex
citement outside of thoso who were .at
tending tho concert, many hastening
for blocks, thiukine that a shootimr
scrapo was in progress.

Will Wed at Thatcher
J. A. Weller, tho popular young shift
boss at tho Globe-Boston mine of tho
Globo Consolidated, leaves this morning
for Thatcher, whero on Wednesday evening-at
C o'clock he will bo united in
marriage to Miss Arlottio Knudson, a
charming young lady of tho Gila valley
town. Tho bridc-to-bo is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Knudson, promi-,
nont residents of-Thfttcher. After the
ceremony' the couple will leave on a
wedding, tour, after which they will

both cupper and silver. At prosent
prices of tho two metals the oro should
not abovo $30 per ton. There nre fifty
to sixty .tons of high grade oro on the
dump which is to be shipped at once
to mako room for machinery to bo in
stalled. The oro is said to assay 12.3
per cent coppor and 34 ounces silver to
tho ton nnd enn bo mined in suflicient
quantity to insuro a good profit to the
company, over and abovo all expenses.
Tho shaft was recently retimbcrcd and
tho lovols jut in good condition and it
is expected that the Globe-Arizona will
soon enter llio list of regular shippers.

Ho was rescued by policemen who ar
rested tho assailant and immediately
afterward turned him loose.

and tho latter cursed them nnd prom
ised with great vehemence to "Give

trict south of Market street.
