ANDERSON Proprietor Tho capture is reported in El Paso by immigration officers of a Scotchman named Peter Ponton, who was a mem ber of a party of eight Scotchmen who were arrested at Clifton several weeks ago by the immigration officials on a charge of being contract laborors brought into this country by the Ari zona Copper company. Upon a hearing tho Scotchmen wore ordered deported, but tho caso was appealed to the depart ment at Washington. Instead of plac ing the Scotchmen in jail thoy wore paroled at Clifton and yesterday ono of tho numbor took a notion to depart. His departure was reported to Inspector Connell at Douglas, who in turn wired tho authorities at E1 Paso, who effected his capture as ho alighted from a South ern Pacific train, and ho was taken to Tucson, where ho will bo hold in jail pending a decision of tho department. 0m Steclo is tho champion chair jumper, of tho world.
