Keith of tho Iris theater has received word from General Manager Tupper of tho Iris circuit that the latter is now on tlio coast booking vaudeville attrac tions for tho Iris chain of theaters. Ar rangements have been mado with the Considine-Sullivan circuit for their best attractions. This circuit is composed of thirty-nine theaters, which extend from coast to coast. Gillen passed away yes torday morning at C:30 o'clock at his homo on South Hill streot after suffer ing for several months with Bright 's disease and complications. The de ceased was a resident of Globe for over two years, coming hero in April, 1905, to accept a position as machinist nt tho Old Dominion shops. Besides his wifo nnd littlo daughter, he leaves to mourn lira demise his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Gillon of Pierce City, Mo., two brothers, F. M. nnd J. W. Gillen, of tho same place, and a sister, Mrs. N. C. George, who resides at , Bcllovuc. Tho latter and tho mother of the de ceased were at his bedsido when death came. Mr. Gillen was born in Clark county, Illinois, July 10, 1875,nnd his parents moved to Missouri when ho was 0 years of ago. During tho Spanish-American war ho held a commission in a Missouri volunteer regiment nnd was n member of tho Spanish War Votorans. Ho was also a member of tho Odd Follows lodge in Tierce City. During his residenco iji Globo ho made mauy friends who great ly regret his sad death. ' Tho remains will bo shipped tomorrow morning to Pierce City, Mo., for interment and will be accompanied by his wifo.and mother.
