Organizing Firo Companies Several
Are companies in different parts of tho
city have been organized under the
provisions of the firo ordinance recent
ly passed by tho city council and the
street supervisor i3 now engaged in
building hoso houses. It lias been sug
gested that a firo department be or
ganized in each ward. Such depart
ments would be equipped by the city
and would offer grent protection.

tho new episcopal church aro now en
route and will bo in place in time for
the Kastern services. Cathedral glass
will be used iu the large front window

arrangement will perhaps bo mado
wherebv tho church furniture will also
bo here for Easter Sunday.
Fire destroyed an oil tank at tho
Copper Hill mino of tho Arizona Com
mercial company early yesterday morn
ing, causing a loss of about $250. Tho
firo was discovered at 0:-13 o'clock, but
as tho oil had begun to burn, it was
impossible to extinguish tho blaze and
tho contents of the tank were con
sumed. Tho origin of the blaze could
not bo learned.

charged with purloining a diamond stud
and who wns released on bond Monday
evening, did not retain his liberty very
