Daniel Torres in this city yesterday in
the act of trying to pass a fraudulent
check upon tho First National bank
has resulted in tho arrest in Agua
Prieta by tho outhoritiea of that city
of a Frenchman who is charged with
uttering checks on that side of the line
and tho ono Torres presented on this
side. The check that Torres had yester
day was altogether impersonal, tho
name of a mining company, thought to
