FORMER TUCSON GIRL CHARGED
WITH INFIDELITY BY HER
FRENCH LORDLING
TUCSON, Soptomber 19. The ro
mance of pretty Estclle Alexander,
"Tucson's Cindorclla," has coim to an
unhappy end. Dispatched from Paris
tell that Prince Robert do llroglie, who
married the beautiful former Tucson
girl, lias anounced his intention of suing
for divorce on the ground of infidelity.
Hoyond all question the relation's of the
young prince nru at Inst triumphant and
have .secured his complete .separation
from tho fair Amcriomi they hated.
Renders of territorial newspapers
have full knowledge of tho romantic life
story of Estclle, PpncessN do Broglie.
She told it herself, simply nnd unaffect
edly as a child, when sho wrote to the
Tucson Citizen, inquiring about au old
teacher of hers in' the Tucson schools.
At tho great liiomout of her life when
sho was tho radiant bridu of "tho hand
somest prince in France," her mind
harked back to. her childhood days in
the Old Pueblo, when she lived in a
tiuy adobe hut on Meyer street, "where
1 cooked for my folks, you know, and
the sptderx spun their webs on tho
walls."
Estclle Alexander was born in Tucson,
of patents who were very, very poor.
As a child she developed a beautiful t
voice which in womanhood grew more
delightful. When ten years of age she
moved from this city to Los Angeles,'
whero she later obtained a clerkship in
iv store and through her scanty earnings I
secured a musical education. After
wards sho went on the vaudeville stag'
and met tho Priuco do Broglie, only son
of one of tho greatest families in
franco. The young people fell in lovo
and despite tho furious protests of the
prineo'8 father and his family they
were married. vA child was born, but
tho family of the prince did not for a
moment relax their opposition to the
match
In writing to the Citizen the

that the pride of these great French
families will drive them to. I am only
a plain Arizona girl and even now, when
I ain so happy, I fear for the future."
And tho fears of tho princess wore
not groundless. Her prince has left her.
His lawyers announce that ho will suo
for divorce on tho greatest of all charges
against a woman.
The unhappy princess at her home de
clares Prince1 Robert is "cruel and cow
ardly," that his charge of infidelity
is baseless and has simply been trumped
up by the prince, who doubtless desires
to rid himself of his American wife for

NOVEL SUIT CLOSES IN PRESCOTT

PRESCOTT, September 19. Hoplovin
proceedings for tho possession of a
black marc in which R. M Hanson,
Nollio Earl, known all over the couuty
as "Pour-eyed Noll," nnd Harry Ames
were the central figures, occupied two
hours yesterday in the court of Justice
of tho Peace McLanc, Hanson being
awarded the disputed equine.
K. M. Hanson, who instituted the suit,
was represented by Attorney J. K. Rus

his possession, had as counsel Lcroy An
derson. A combination of at least four
brands adorns the bcas of burden,
showing that it had several changes ii
ownership, one of which, at least, must
have appeared "Bhndy" to the court,
judging from the decision rendered.
In his testimony, Hanson said that
he owned the animal in ISO.'t when it
was yet a colt.- Tho Henderson brothers
of Walker, while gathering horses, drove
it with a herd into their corral. Its
mother was not found by them. Hnnson

it from tho Hendersons. Three and a
half years later, according to Hanson,
it was seen in Xellio Earl's corral on
Blind Indian Crock, with an "A (5 con
nected" brand added to tho other and
the slash of the original Henderson
branch converted into a "cross." Han
son produced a bill of sale to show tho
passing of thp title to him from tho
Hendersons.
On the witness stand Xellic snid that
she purchased tho marn from Hnnson,
tho consideration, according to her state
ment, being a prolonged love and affec
tion. She snid she sold the horse to
Ames for a cash consideration nnd gave
Ames a bill of sale. Ames produced the
bill of sale in court to prove his title,
but the chain of the title being broken
between Hnnson and Nellie, tho court
awarded tho animal to Hanson. Nellie
