been learned hero that the salo of the
property of the Consolidated Arizona
Smelting Company will probably go
through on Monday next and that tho
highest bid heretofore made for tho
property, $150,000, will bo accepted by
tho referee in bankruptcy. This offer
has been made by a man whose iden
tity has not been disclosed and is sub
ject to two mortgages, aggregating with
interest about $250,000 and assessments
and taxes aggregating $10,000. Tr

was $12.7,000, and it was said on belli r
of tho receiver in bankruptcy that t '

concerned in the failuro of the company,

prospect of realizing on these suits for
tho benefit of tho creditors. This au
thority said there was no way of know

eventually get, bu declared hat it will
bo far above expectations, as the re
sult of the suits.
Ho said that the total claims against
tho company in Arizona do not exceed
$150,000 and that tho claims in New
York are in tho neighborhood of this
amount. There is $300,000 for notes
of tho company held by tho National
Bank of North America, and secured
by stock of the company.
