Blsbse Building Up
Pew towns in thoT west possess men
who have moro determination, push aud
onorgy than does Bisbco. That she is
proud of her hustlers is a self evident
fnct. Bisbco has experienced hor share
of misfortunes during tho old year, and
liko tho metal that has been run through
tho furnace, she comes forth refined by
hor many experiences with past fires.
That sha will be a moro Ire proof city
in tho future is evident "by tho new
buildings of brick, Btone nnd concrete
which aro being erected. No one can
doubt the nbovo statement after walk

a littlo good advice. 1 hate to lock any
body up, but there arc times whenomc
of you need it in order to give you a
chance to put on the .brakes. When I
was a boy I used to mako New Year res
olutions, and I always felt better, even
if I did not keep them for long. I know
full well that there aro among you borne
who will be back here within a few
days, but I still feel that there might
bo some who would start tho new year
all right if you could breathe tbo fresh,
free and wholesome air again, and to
those I am going to give the chance.
Now go on and be good boys. It is a
long tituo until next New Year."

Flowing Wells at Benson
Flowing water was struck Wednes
day in the well Mr. C'nrr is drilling for
Dr. owell, A. J. Collins and himself.
This is tho first of several water gravel
strata known to underlie the town of
Benson. It was encountered at exactly
six hundred feet below the surface. The
second artesian gravel stratum was
struck at a depth of seven hundred" feet
and Mr. Carr continued to go after the
third, which js tho lowest water bearing
gravel yet developed in Benson. This
makes twenty-five flowjng wells on the
Benson side of tho river.
Arizona's Wonderful Climate"
Contrasts in Arizona climate 'arc con

Incorporation Business.
Tho business of incorporating new
companies under (bo Arizona law has
fallen off materially during the last
year, says tho Republican, duo partly
to tho panic and partly to the fact that
Nevada and Now Mexico have both
passed liberal incorporation laws with
an cyo on a part of the business that
has heretofore come to Arizona. Ap
parently they have been getting some
of it. However, with tho return of bet
ter financial conditions tho business is
again increasing here as is shown by
tho collection of $3,575.50 in fees by
the auditor during December, tho
largest business month since last June.
The shrinkage in business during 190S,
mado a difference of nearly $20,000 in
fees for the torritory. Tho fees col
lected during 1907 totalled $59,700.50,
while tho fees for 1903 totalled $39,
