Mo Lcod, former residents of Bisbce, wero among tho victims in ono of thq recent avalanches in Idaho. Thoy wero buried for four hours beneath a mass of snow and timbers bill wero finally rescued alive. A new boosting club, with motives similar to those of tho "Don't Worry Club," has been organized at Bisbco and is known as the "Pink Pajamas." The Lorctta academy at Bisbeo cele brated its mid-session day with a ro ception for parents nnd trustees. Al though the school has been established only three years, thoro are now 200 pupils enrolled. Rev. J. F. Moody, of Glendnle, Cab, now occupies tho pulpit of tho First Baptist church at Bisbee, which has been without a pastor since last fall. In tho arfest of Florence Marwin in n resort nt Bisbeo tho polico landed a woman wanted in Texas on a perjury charco in connection with a notorious bank robbery caso nt Hamilton, Texas. Tho domestic troubles of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Wood of Douglas lesultcd in their separation a month ago,' and later the father secured possession of their child and placed it in tho caro of Mrs. Wood's mother, who was also es tranged from her daughter. During the following night tho mother kidnaped the child and hurried across tho lino into Mexico. While Harry Gaskin, a night police man of Phoenix, was attempting to ar rest an intoxicated young man ho was set upon by tho man's friends and bad ly beaten "and kicked about tho face. His six-shooter was also seized. Tho ac cident occurred near Peoria. Josephus S. Crafts has been granted a modification of the divorce decreo granted to his former wife, Rowcna S. Cralts, at Phoenix hvo years ago, and he was given the custody of their two children. Mrs. Crafts jvas committed to the insane asylum last fall. J. ,1. Hayward, a Santa Fe locomotive engineer, was seriously injured in a collision which occurred in tho yards at Winslow last week. He was taken to the company's hospital at Log Ange les for treatment. Tho installation of tho new sewer sys tem at Winslow began last week with a force of thirty men at work. Tho force will probably bo increased to seventy five within a short time. .Too Snpancic, proprietor of a saloon at Lowell, was arrested last week on a charge of soiling liquor to miuors. Juan Villa, a Mexican from Gleesou who imagines that" ho is being pursued by spirits which seek his destruction, has been ordered committed to tho in sane asylum at Phoenix.
