Tho Douglas Dispatch claims to havo
inside information that the proposed
Knights of Columbus sanitarium will
go to either Douglas or Tucson, as tho

Forty years after her marriage and

saw her husband last, Mrs. Carolina
Schumacher was granted u divorce in
Milwaukee on April 14 from George A.

Tho Yuma National bank has quit
business. The affairs of the bank were

Must Pay $80 for Contempt
of Court at Solomon-
ville Yesterday

SOLOMONVILLE, April 21. Be
cause he failed to appear in court as a.
witness in the civil suit of tho Becker
Franz company vs. the Sierra de Oro
Gold Mining & Milling company, .1. J.
Kennedy was fined $80 for contempt of
tourt today. It was necessary to is
sue an attachment for Kennedy, be
foro he appeared in court, tho cost of
the attachment accounting in a great
measuro for tho severity of tho fine.
This suit, an nction concerning valu
able mining property, is being bitterly
contested by both the prosecution and
the defense and is still on trial before
a ju'ry. f
Holly Miller, a witness in tho recent
trial of King Reese, who was held to
answer to the grand jury for perjury,
waived examination in court todav.
Bail was fixed at $1,000. The defen
dant was unable to furnish bail ' and
will be held a prisoner until tho next
session of the grand jury.
In the. civil suit of E. B. Van Veen
vs. Graham county, an action to col
lect expenses while acting as court re
porter in Solomonville, judgment for
tho plaintiff in the hum of $727.00 was
entered. This judgment is in accord
ance with tho mandate of the territorial
supremo court.
Court will probably adjourn Friday
nicht and will not be resu'med until
Juno 20, when a short session will be
held.
