(Water.rpr of lndterprij.r ) The Parish Democratic Executive (ommitte has issued a call for a pri mary election to be held on Tuesdmay September first next for the purpose of nominating candidates for members of the'sefiool board. Under the new IitWsechool boards are made elective, there being one member from each ward. The qualiticationn of a candi tldte are that he shall tbe a qn1tlllilel' voter and in addilion thereto shall own property to the amout of three hun dred dollars. This will be the first erection of school boards inl the State gatd it Is to be hoped that throughout all will work well, that it will not cause by demand a return of the power to the Governor to appoint. SLart Snzalday night at eleven o'clock Mr. John Aldridge Limerick, one of the most respected citizens of Jeffer son county, died at his home in Rod ney, after an illnes of several weeks. Mr. Limeriok has bdeh a citizen of Roduey since early manhood and was held high in esteem by all who knew him. He was a sterling citizen, a courtly gentleman of the old school, a devoted husband and father. His death is deeply deplored. His wife (nee Mie Irene Stuart) a and five children, all grown, and nine ' grand-children survive him. Mr. Lnmerick was a mason 8nd his a funeral, with full Masonic honors, was 'I conducaeted by the Rodney lodge, and the remains laid away in Oakland Cemetery Monday morning.
