The Pacific Railway Convention had been several days in session. The President of the Company, Dr Fowlkes, was detained until the six'eenth day after the time appointed for set tlement; but the Arbitration Committee wait ed until the seventeenth, when Fowlkes satis fied them of his ability to pay the award, and the Cornmitte proceeded to an adjustment, and an auditing of the claims. markets.
