A SPECIAL meeting of the Board of Po lice of Claiborne county will be held or the 4th Monday of October next, at which time a distribution of the general school fund will be made agreeably to the 7th tion approved March 4th, 1848, as follows: Sec 7. BETHEA'S LIVERY STABLE. « > GRAND 0(1 LE, MISS. milE undersigned, having dissolved part JL nership with Trussy Bethea, respectfully informs his friends and the public generally, that his STABLE at Grand Gulft is now open and in readiness for the reception of horses, and the general services of his busi ness. His well known establishment pre pares him fully to serve the travelling pub lic and others wishing to board their horses. A Daily Hack will leave Grand Gulf every morning for Port Gibson, to return in the evening. A Supply of Saddle Horses, Buggies and Carriages will always be in readiness— and extra Carriages and Buggies furnished whenever required. Any number of per sons can be accomodated at any time. He further pledges himself to the public that he will not keep in his employ any but sober, steady drivers. He is also prepared with substantially enclosed lots for the accommodation of Dro vers, and will be constantly in market either to trade, sell or buy horses. Jackson, is not a citizen of this State, but resides beyond the limits thereof, so that the ordinary process of the court cannot be executed upon him, therefore, it is ordered that the said defendant enter bis appearance herein on or before the first day ofthe next Term of this court, to be held at the Court room in the City of Jackson, on the first Saturday in June next ensuing, and plead answer or demur to the bill of complaint aforesaid, otherwise the several allegations thereof, be taken for confessed by him, set for hearing ex-parte, and the matters there of decreed accordingly.
