On Saturday a young man who was too full of whisky fighting whisky retured to Charles' boarding house, on the Alamo plaza, underrated a disturbance, during which he badly wanted to fight tile landlord, his wile, the steward, and three dogs who took a hand in the row. Eventually he was quieted and friendly hands took him carefully to bed What Hu Found In the Cellar. Mr. Aaron Frank yesterday descended into the cellar of his store upon the A lam u, which he had not visited fsr some time, and there found the bleached skeletons of two rats in a trap that had been laid there Erom the post tion and condition of the animals it was plain that one rat had partially eat the other before he had succumbed to an agonizing death. Visit the Sick mill IlUtrenaeil. The Englishman, Parsons, whose wife re cently died, and whose two-months old bab followed her to the grave soon after, is now seriously sick, he and his children being down with typhus fever. For some time past he has been employed by W, R, Freeman & Co., who speak highly of him The sick family reside on Austin street, and the LIGHT suggests that a visit of our charita ble ladies would be acceptable aud do much good. "You will have plenty of time, replied the conductor. The drummer got off and the train went on.without him. The next time the drummer saw the conductor he took him to task very severely for his conduct, com plaining that he had to lay over at that station seven hours. He says that when cholera originates in India it exhausts itself in Russia and Ger many, but that when it originates, as he claims this has been done, in Arabia, and extends to Ecvpt, it never fails in reachinir England For example, In March, 1S65, the disease broke out in Mecca; in June it appeared in Alexandria, killing 60,000 persons in Egypt within three months; nine days after the first death occurred in Alexandria the pestilence was in France; and in September it was in England. Dr. Jenkins takes the gloomiest view of the present outbreak in Egypt, pre dicting that before Ihe year closes the disease win be making ravages In every quarter nl th gioue. 1 new urieans times-Democrat, In Texas Slnco 1W0. 1 In San Antonio Slnco 181?, J.
