M. ‘Moulton, E. M. Sly, E. W. Trenbath, ;C. H. Swigart and A. R. Gardner as a committee to confer with a similar committee from Pasco to speed up as much as possible the campaign for a bridge across the Columbia river be tween here and Pasco. It is expected that the two committees will meet and formulate some plan of action in ad vance of the hearing on the franchise application of Charles Huber. Mr. Huber’s application will be con sidered by the commissioners of the two counties in Pasco October 13. TRU-BLU SALESMAN T 0 CALL 0N MERCHANTS IN AIRPLANE E. R. Krause to Bomb Eight Towns with Literature and Call on . Trade via Air Route The Tru Blu Biscuit company of, Spokane is the first western firm to adopt the airplane as an aide to its traveling men in reaching their trade. l E. R. Krause will be the man who jmakes the initial trip and he plans to Tdrop his advance cards and “bombs” redeemable in Tru Blu crackers, over Spangle, Rosalia and Oakesdale, while enroute to Garfield. 7 On Friday, the Tru Blu airplane will i he a feature of the Garfield Round-Up and Krause will drop souvenir cards and prize b‘ombs into the crowd— after which a circle trip will be made to Palouse, Pullman and Colfax. At Colfax a large quantity of the bombs will be dropped and Mr. Krause will call on the Tru Blu dealers there before returnir g to Garfield. The airplane is a Canadian Curtiss machine especially engaged for the purpose and will be piloted by Lt. Powell Francis. . SMALL BLAZE The fire department was given-a run to the Merchants Pool Hall Mon day morning, but they were denied ad mission by Proprietor George Heath, who extinguished an incipient blaze before the department arrived. The fire started in the furnace room and the blaze had eaten its way thru the floor before it was discovered. It Was extinguished with a garden hose.
