Royal Neighbors Hold District Meet in Pasco The nineteenth annual district convention of the Royal Neighbors of America met in Pasco Friday evening, March 31. The delegations present represented the orders in Dayton, Walla Walla, Pasco and Kennewick. The local lodge was represented by 30 members. The convention opened in the morning with a business meeting. .The afternoon session was devoted to degree work. Teams from each cam-p competed in the work with the prize being won by Dayton. The Kennewick camp exemplified the New Password Drill and the Me morial Service. A very interesting program which was open to the public was given in the evening. The next convention will be held in Walla Walla. Benton County Schools Will Share $7151 Fund Benton county schools will receive about $7151 this month from the state general fund, Mrs. Irma Ralph, deputy county superintendent of schools, said Tuesday. This amount is about one-third of the county’s school deficit, She said. Other amounts from the general fund will be received by the county in May,‘ June, July and August to aid in re-‘ duclng the deficit, she learned from‘ a letter from the state education de partment recently.
