FOR THEIR COUNTRY!
Notes of Benton
County Men in
the Armed Forces
Like all other counties in the na- ‘
tion. ours now has most of its young
men in the service. Many of them
are away from home for the first
time in their lives and the one
thing they miss most is word from
home. To help as much as we can,
this paper is being sent to all the
local boys in the service each week.
This, however, is not enough. Every
one who knows any of our boys
should write to them occasionally.
We are again printing the list
of names of the local boys with their
latest addresses in the hopes that
it will encourage letter writing. not
only ‘by the folks at home, .but be
tween the boys in the several
branches of the service. _
or interest to many of the boys
will be the following letter from Les
Kippes, who says:

Organized advertising is just as anxious as you are that
people who advertise unethically be brought into line,
because their practices reflect upori the whole pr'ofem'on.
- And you’ll be glad to know
that the Commission finds a com-
Federal Trade Commission, Washington, D.C., telling
them why you think it’s against your interest.
Organized advertising will thank you.
WE WANT PICTURES
This paper would like to have a
picture of each local boy in the
service. We'd like to have it show

are preferred. All pictures will be
returned unharmed as soon as we
have them photographed for cuts.
Please put name and address on
the backs so we can return them.
We’d like to run a couple of
pictures in the paper each week,
giving the name, branch of the
service and where stationed. if
not a military sea'et. Then, when
