ceived from Bill Kratzer indicates
that he will have completed his
basic officers’ training in Fort
Knox, Ky., by the 25th of this
month. He expects to be trans
terred back to Pullman to finish
training.

took three stitches to close the

the fire stared from the explo
sion of a gasoline stove.

their grandson Kenneth Nelson
left Saturday for Goble, Oregon,
where they went to meet their

Mrs. C. G. Whitney Sr. left
Tuesday for Kinsley, Kansas for a
two weeks visit with relatives.
When she returns home she is
expected to bring her mother
Mrs. Frank Dixon of Kansas with
her to spend the winter at the
Whitney home.
Mrs. J. W. May and son Charles
left for their home in Portland
Wednesday after spending the
past few days with Mrs. May’s
