Norris Shields, SM 3/c in -USN, arrived home Monday for a two weeks leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Shields on Auburn Street. Norris has been at sea 24 months, has been 18 months since he was in Kennewick. Mr. and Mrs. Courtney Baze (Madene Shields) accompanied him from Klamath Falls, Oregon, he having stopped off there for three days with them. _ _ _ , Word has been received here this week of the death of a former Kennewick Valley resident, Mrs. H. A. Seager. She will be re membered as Mrs. Thomas Marri ott. She passed away October 19, 1944 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Grace Updike in Port Orch ard, at the age of 86 years. She was well known in the Valley and loved by all who knew her.
