While here Mr. Swanson caught a record-breaking steel head, 36 inches long and weighing 16 lbs. 5 oz. at Griggs store in Pasco, where it was on display. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Desgrangel were at Tekoa Saturday and Sun- day visiting a brother and sister. Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Berry and daughter Vernell from Farwell, Texas are visiting her brother and family of the Highlands, Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Phillips. Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Siefken of Clinton, lowa, left Thursday by way of Spokane, Yellowstone park and the Black Hills after an ex tended visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alson Knox and family. The two families enjoyed a few 'days’ outing visiting Mt. Rainier, Seattle, Lake Chelan and Grand Coulee dam. Alson L. Knox returned to his work at Ephrata Thursday after a short vacation with his family here. He is employed by the Ar my Engineers on the Columbia Ba sin project. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Hawn left Sunday for Duke Univrsity, Dur ham, North Carolina, where Mr. Hawn will re-enter school. Mrs. Hawn will continue on to Balti more, Mr., for a short visit with her parents. For the past ten months the Hawns have made their home in Pasco where both were employed. They are the children of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hawn of Kennewick Mr. and Mrs. Harold Comrey and son Jack of Pendleton were. guests at the Harold Matter home Friday evening.
