WHEREAS, the said City Coun cil did duly set a time and place for the hearing on said petition, and did post the notices thereof as required by law, as appears from the Affidavit of Posting on file with the City Clerk, Now Therefore, the City Coun cil of the City of Kennewick does ordain as follows: ’ Section 1. That from and after the efl’ective date of this Ordin-\ ance, Avenue “A” in the City of Kennewick, County of Benton,‘ State of Washington, between Lyle Street North and Kent Street North, (formerly that portion of Lowell Road between Jackson Road and Moliere Road, as shown by the officially recorded plat of Olmsted Addition to Kennewick, recorded. in Volume 2 of Plats, page 26, records of Benton coun ty, Washington, be and the same is hereby vacated and the title thereto shall revert to and become vested in the property owners abutting on said Avenue “A” ex cept a strip thereof, sixty (60) feet wide in a North and South direc tion and twenty (20) feet long in an East and Westdirection, in the exact center of said portion of" Avenue “A” described above, which will provide a continuous ’alley twenty (20) feet in width running south from Canal Street ion the West side of Block Twenty- Eight (28) (as now existing) and ‘through Block Thirty-Two (32) of said plat to the North line of Lot 19 in Block 32 of said plat. The strip so reserved to be retained as ,a part of said alley for all public purposes Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect 5 days after its approval, passage and publication in the official newspaper of the City of Kenne wick.
