ton County Chapter of the Nation
al Foundation for Infantile Para-
Lysis was held at the office of
Judge Geo. O. Beardsley atPros
ser on the evening of Wednesday,
Oct. 29. The following directors
were elected: .
Geo. O. Beardsley, Harley E.
Chapman, Bess Royer, Mrs. Jen
nie Moore, Prosser; Mrs. Beulah
DeGood, Benton City; Mrs. Lena
McCamish‘, Kennewick. Russell
Stanford, Richland.
The following officers were
elected: Judge Beardsley, presi
dent; Ellen Bemdt, vice president;
Harley E. ' Chapman, treasurer;
Bess Royer, secretary.
Judge Beardsley was also nam
ed as campaign chairman, with
Ellen Berndt as vice chairman.
The annual report of the treas
urer disclosed that in the 1947
campaign Benton County stood
second in the State of Washington
raising 59 cents per capita.
