[their husbands and guests enjoy ed an interesting and entertaining jpmgi’essive dinner "party. The >evening began at 6:30 at the Curt ‘Gerard home, 515 Ave. A. [Asthis wasadinnerparty,a iglance at'the menu was the first )tmng to do. Other than knowing ‘beyond a shadow of a doubt that St. Patrick had a part and that what was on the table 'was just the beginning, we could readily see that this was to be a guessing game. Who? When we solved that problem Mr. and Mrs. Ger ard assisted by Mr. and Mrs. Roger Records served delicious coctails, Hanfond style. It seemed some thought this was the whole ,dinner or the most: important 'part so accepted without hesita ition the hosts generous hospitality. Guess again! This time the Jess Vinson home at 318 3rd Ave. East. Mrs. Jess Vinson was assisted by Mrs. Alvin Vinson and we all left there feeling that mother and daughter hostess combinations were tops. To the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Reigel, 934 McPherson Avenue, Richland, for Mulligan stew and all the fixings. When we were welcomed by the cham ing smile of little Miss Kathleen, young Dan’s michievous grin and mother Van’s Winkles. We all were guessing. Frank Mason and Dick Reigel were more or less honored and surprised at the turn of events and their own intelligence or lack of it in the usual St'. Patrick pranks planned and executed by Mrs. Reigel and Mrs. Roy Larkin. But surprise again. Home- Be- Gorry. No! To the Fred Giard home. ‘First there was the pig in the parlor, and soon twenty five or thirty pigs in the parlor for our hostess had planned we all must work. ~ On each table three sizes and colors of molding clay, and you should have seen the pigs that were produced. Alvin Vinson was judged the best farmer by his blue ribbon entry and Glen Miser convinced us that singing, with our help and the harmonies, was his hidden talent and produang pigs was wasted effort. ' { Our hostess seeing what good, farmers we all were, decided we all must learn to play. And the] enthusiasm that was displayed with that old familiar game oil pinochle was amazing. At this; game Mildred Liston was lucky and received a box of Irish mint for her talent and effort. Joe Stradling was unlucky and found for sure one of those green snakes St Patrick drove out of Ireland, so many years ago. To grin: this grand evening to a close our hostess assisted by Mrs. John Smith served Emer ald Ices, Cake fit for the gods K .|P EN - v 00! w 0 . Amok?" dim-r C “M .1005 . IN V“ . ‘ N "10" ”1...
