WALLULA. Sept. 29—Mr. and
Mrs. Nate Bateman of Prosser
drove down Sunday to visit at
the 01in Mills home. Mrs. Bate
man and Mrs. Mills are sisters.
Their father, Mr. Montgomery, is
also here from Prosser.
J. W. Valls returned Saturday
from a visit to Oklahoma. He
was accompanied by his brother,
George Vails from Pasco. They
were gone two weeks, one week
of the time J. W. Vails spent ill
in bed.
Mr. and Mrs. Crarey are ex.
joying a visit with Mr. Clarey’s
mother from Sisters, Oregon.
Mr. and'Mrs. E. H. Kidwell and
sons of Pasco and Mrs. Hender
son of Walla Walla were visitors

Reader when she was 6 years
old. She is now 85. The prize was
a McGuffy portrait. (For the

For Cleaners **
Jim Brady, Pasco accountant,
has been appointed receiver for
Modern Cleaners and Furriers,
Inc., of Pasco.
He was appointed Monday in
Franklin county superior court
by Judge Orris Hamilton of
Prosser. A suit was filed early
this month by Mr. and Mrs.
George Hayes, principal owners
of the firm, asking a receiver be
appointed and authorized to con
tinue operating of the business.
J. A. S. Johnston, manager of
the firm, who also holds stock,
was named a defendant in the
suit. He resisted the action at
the hearing before Judge Hamil
ton.

Horrigan granted a judgment to
taling $1715.94 against Modern
Cleaners and Furriers, Inc.. to
Western Radio Corp.
