Singing Evangelist Everett, who is at the Congregational church made a good impression yesterday. He will be assist ed each night by local talent. J. M. Lewis, formerly tender of the Ileron street bridge, was taken to St. Joseph's hospital Saturday, in u very critica' condition. Mr. Lewis has been ailing for some time, and his life is now despaired of. Geo. A. BUehelder.'of San Francisco, came into Aberdeen yesterday, and left for his home this morning. Mr. Batch elder is a neighbor of S. E. Sladt) in San Francisco and was the guest of the com pany while here. The blocking wai taken from under the Heron street bridgd this morning, and it would be ready for travel if the city had the approaches ready. Supt. Hilts thinks the approaches will be finished by Thursday. C. H. Christopher Moler, of London, England, spent yesterday in Abeideen the guest of the S. K. Slade Co. Mr. Moler is a member of the firm of Moler & Co. in London, and is looking up the prospects in the Northwest. Ei A. Baker, master mechanic at the MeCormick mill, at McCorir.ick, last Monday morning got his hand caught in an edger, tearing it off. The injured man ! was taken to the Centralia hospital,! where the hand was amputated at the j wrist. Baker has inany friends on the harbor, where he has been employed in | the various mills for many years. Mrs. A. D. Wood entertained in honor of Madain E'aine, mother of Dr. W. B. Paine, who is hereon a short visit to her son, Friday. Madam Paine is more than 80 years of age, yet she is active and enjoys the society of her friends as much as ever. She will leave for her home in Duluth, Minn , tomorrow. John Kasper, a barber working at the O. K. barber shop, was arrested Friday by Officer Searles, at the request ol Seattle authorities. A deputy sheriff from Seattle took him to that city Satur day, to answer for contempt of court, in failing to provide for an infant child. The eleven unions of plumbers and gas fitters, of steam fitters and of steam fitters' helpers in the state are to meet ' in Seattle tonight, to organize a state; association afier the manner of the painters and some of the other crafts. : Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane, Bellingham, Everett, Walla Walla and Aberdeen are to he represented. The stereopticon entertainment given by the Harbor E'aint & Decorating com pany, Friday even'ng, was well worth going to from an artistic standpoint. Views were given of interior decorations of rooms, showing how by the proper combination of wall papers a home can be artistically made beautiful without a great outlay of cash.
