FREE—Admission—FßEE (Silver Offering) TACOMA, NEWS SECTION 9881 Pacific Avenue Make Your Will And Save Trouble For Your Heirs In the last few years colored peo ple are becoming more particular how they pass out of this world. Formerly it was a common occurence for colored persons of means to die and leave no will directing how their estate should be handled. Nowa days intelligent persons of the race arrange their affairs and leave a will which protects the interest of their heirs. Colored lawyers are more and more coming into their own. For many years it was thought Negro lawyers stood no show in court, N‘ow it is known that judges, jurors and others connected with the courts have more respect for a colored lit igant who comes into court with a race lawyer than they have for col ored persons who do not. It has been an url}lll fight for Negro law yers but slowly and surely they are winning their way to the front. This change of ,attitude toward colored lawyers is very evident in Tacoma. The writers of this article being an attorney notes with satisfaction a growing clientele from the race. We aré transgcting more business for our people at this time than ever before. This change of attitude is due to the interest of our ministers and also our ¢lub women. It can be noted that Tacoma is developing rac ial cooperatfon. Rev, Johnson impresses everyone by his self sacrificing labors and industry for all worth while movements. He deserves all the acclaims he is re ceiving. Rev. Johnson is pastor of the local A, M.
