The reason why trade has not been greater is that buyers and sellers have not been able to agree on prices. Some‘tenders have. in fact. been withdrawn. As a result of the merger Scan dinavian Airlines System becomes one of the largest airlines in the world. with a fleet of approximate ly one hundred aircratt. There is still a dearth of coal and coke in Sweden. The total import of these products in 194? was 5.8 million tons. against eight or nine million tons before the war. The import of coal last year amounted to only 3.9 million tons. as compared with 6.3 million in 1939. The corresponding figures for coke were 0.8 million and 2.4 million tons. rcspertiwly.
