Introducing Scandinavian Newcomers Danish Movie Hero, Norse Ski Star, Pretty Swedish Gals And Icelanders In Northwest Danish Mr. and Mrs. Schumacher Hundreds of Scandinavian new comen have. arrived in the North wmt during the past two or three years. indicating a sharp increase- In Scandinavian immigration over that of the thirties. The immigra tion nppearn to be directed toward the Northwest more than any oth er part at the country. The five newcomers pictured and portrayed in this article are among the hundreds that have reached Seattle. This newcomer Is one of the most enterprising of the bunch and in addition. undoubtedly the “most glamorous". For Finn was once called. and still is perhaps. Denmark's Jackie Cooper. This notoriety dates back to his 14th year. in 1936, when he was picked among 2,000 youngsters throughout Denmark to play the leading role in the Danish movie “The Millionaire Boy" based on a story by Walter Christmas.
