Frank Hill arrived yesterday from Kilbourne City, Wis., anil will look after his farming in terests in Steele county. C. O. Wheeler returned from the Twin cities Mcnda\r and is hard at work getting things in readiness to open the hotel. Mrs. Robt. Milligan and daughters, of Michigan City. N. D., are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Milligan and family this week. Pete Joslyn arrived in the city yesterday and will look after his interests in this county. Mr. Joslyn has been stopping of late at Fitzgerald, Ga. Mrs. Black, daughter of Mrs. L. D. F. Hogue, of Grand Forks, returned to her home lastSalur day after a visit of two weeks or more in this city. H. C. Qunion, of the Q-Bar ranch, near Dickenson, is in this vic'nity with a large bunch of the finest Horses that was ever brought into Steele county. Mrs. W. J. Milligan and Ed. Keene accompanied Mrs. Mayes on her sad errand to Fargo on Friday, returning with the re mainsSaturdayafternoon, byway of Clifford. W. R. Williams was in the city this week. He departed yester day for Minneapolis and from there he will proceed to Idaho, where he goes in the interest of a Mining Co. Ed. Johnson, of Rhielander, Wis., brother of Oscar Johnson who lives west of town six mile3, arrived last Friday and will visit here for a couple of months. Mr. Johnson is more than pleased with the country and thinks N. Dakota all right. J. C. Lang and Arno, of Fitz gerald, Ga., arrived on yester day's train. Mr. Lang stopped in this city, while Arno went up to Aneta, where he will visit with L. L. and familj\ They came direct here from the Buffalo ex position. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meb'ar* land and Mr. Frank Brown, of Qquawka, Ills., were in the city the first of the week. They were up looking over the country, with a view of locating here if the conditions proved satisfactory. Mr. McFarland will return here within the next month, and may purchase a large farm in this vicinity. Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Hunt were in the city last Friday. Mr. Hunt was on his way home from Bismarck, where he was attend ingtheStateBoardof Eqra'ization while Mrs. Hunt was coming home from Fargo, where she has been taking the Magnetic tr atir.ent for soxe two months. The treatment did not prove as helpful as was first thought it would, but she feels much better OR account of her rest. Mrs, J. A. ICWstad aqd child r.n arrived on yesterday's train from Dwight, N. D., where they have been living for the past two years. They are going to per manently locate in Hope and will commence housekeeping in their house as soon as Mr. Kraabel's new residence is ready for oc cupany. J.
