Hill, of the Great Northern Railway, has issued a circular outlining a plan wherebjr its employes and others living along the system may purchase for investment one or more shares of that company's stock without paying the usual com missions charged by stocit brokers. In explanation of this action on the part of the company Mr. Hill says: "During the last few weeks, and par ticularly since financial condition, became acute, the officers of the com pany have received many requests from employes and others for inform ation as to how small investments might be made in stock of the Great Northern Railway Company. These inquires came mainly from people who had had no experience in pur chasing stock in New York or from persons living in communities where there were no stock brokers." The circular outlines in detail the conditions and methods attaohing to the purchase of stock.
