Kl-II'l-NI' IN -111' iMUNTV W HF.UKAS, On the sixth day of March, 1011. a petition ^signed by more than one hundred freeholders resident in the County of Kmmons was tiled in the otlice of the County Auditor, asking this Hoard to pur hase seed grain for the needy farmers resident therein, and to is ue bonds of the County for that purpose, as provided by Chapter -10 the Laws of North Dakota for l'.KRl and I WI1FKFAS. At a meeting of the Hoard of County Commissioners, duly called and held for the purpose of considering said petition, it was dub found and determined by tlit Hoard that the said petition wasjn proper form and genuinely signed by more than one hundred freehold ers resident, in the said county and it was further found and determined that all the conditions specified in aid Chat per '-'10 of the I.aws of pjd'.t, upon which the relief prayed for should be granted, existed with re spect to the County of Kmmons and that by reason of drought there had been a total or partial failure of crops in said County for the preced ing year, and that by reason thereof many farmers in said county would be unable to procure seed grain for the coming year unless said petition was granted and said Hoard, by majority vote, accordingly deter mined that the prayer of said petition should be granted, and the County Auditor was instructed'to advertise for bids for the sale of bonds for said purpose and WHKKKAS. Said bonds have been duly advertised for sale by publica tion in the manner provided by law, and have been duly sold at a price in excess of the par value thereof. Now, therefore, be it RKSOLV'KI), Hy the Hoard of (Nulli ty Commissioners of the County of Kmmons, Slate of North Dakota, That, for the purpose of purchasing seed grain for the needy fanners resi dent in said County, there are hereby authorized and directed to lie issued the negotiable coupon bonds of the Countv of Kmmons, North Dakota, in the aggregate of seventeen thou sand five hunderd ($l7,5ui)i dollars Said bonds shall be of the denomina tion of $500 each shall be numbered one (ll to thirty-live C'5) inclusive shall be dated April I, 11)11, and shall mature and become payahl April 1, I'.Uo. Said bonds shall bear interest at the rate of seven (7) per centum per annum, payable semi annually on the first, day of April and the first day of October, and shall have coupons attached repre senting sai'l interest payments.
