It was af ter one of the DeWitt chickens when Charley shot it. He sold the bird to Tom O'Brien, who sent it away to a taxidermist, to have it mounted. There were about forty couples present at the German dance in the Turner opera-house last Friday evening. Everybody who attended reports an enjoyable time. Supper was served at Turner's restaurat. Preaching at Temvik next Sunday evening, Oct. 29th, at 7:80 o'clock sharp, in the school-house, and at the Keller school-house at 2 o'clock p. m. sharp. Bismarck Tribune: Friday even ing, Oct. 20th, at the Presbyterian manse, in this city, occurred the wedding of Wilbert Rodgers and Miss Ethel G. Pomeroy, both of Mc Kenzie. John Cole was fatally injured last Thursday morning by a horse that he was riding falling on him. His skull was crushed. He was taken to the Bismarck hospital and died there Friday. Mr. Cole was an early set tler, and was the son of Mrs Mary Cole of Braddock. The Record has been unable to obtain any of the par ticulars of the sad affair, but under stands that the accident took place in the town of Braddock. John was about 30 years old.
