Albert Turner, a young man from eastern Canada, ar rived the same day and is working on Mr. Mandigo's farm. During the past week the Hrad dock district has been treated to soaking showers, but the climax came Tuesday afternoon. For near ly two hours water fell in torrents and the streets were Hooded. Spo ing seeding in this vicinity is pretty well over with and farmers are now turning their attention to breaking for flax. Much raw land will be turned over this year for this crop. A party of young people motored to Wilde's lake last Sunday and cast a few lines in search of lish. They were rewarded by capturing one fine specimen of the finny tribe, but say the lish have not yet come into the lake in any numbers. A spark from H. A. Coerhing's plowing engine set a prairie lire on the school section just southwest of town early Monday morning. Only about four acres burned. The grass being still damp, the lire traveled slowly. Flic school seel ion is leased to .1. I. Roop, who is depending on cutting his hay there this year and it would have meant a heavy loss to him had not the fire been gotten un der control so promptly. Next Saturday afternoon at one o'clock the stockholders of the Ha zelton Creamery Association are scheduled to hold a mooting to de cide one of the most important questions that has been up before that body since its organization three years ago, the matter of whether or not I hey will rebuild the local cream ery. It is to be hoped that every stockholder will bo pre-ent at this meeting and will vote' in tavor of rebuilding. Past xperiences show that, while the creamery didnt' make a great deal of monev, the institu tion was of great henefii to the com munity in hundreds of ways.
