Bulah Beard, daughter of James and Nora Beard, was born June 6. 1902, and died Aug. 24, 1914. Her father died April 20, 1905, her eldest sister died in November 1905 and her mother died in December 1906, all of whom had tuberculosis, leaving her a little orphan cast on the mercies of the world. But Bulah being a sweet little girl found protection with kinsmen, as well as all other good people who knew' her. She was a model young girl and bore her afflictions patiently to the end. Every ef fort was made to save her. She was kept at the Booneville san itarium for quite awhiie in hopes of relief, but failing each day. she was brought to her uncle, T. B. Harris, at Denning, where the sad end came, and her spirit was carried to meet those who had gone on before to enjoy the happiness of the sweet angels’ home prepared for all good girls, who do their Master’s will. So wreep not, dear friends, but rather rejoice that there is a home most beautiful for all good orphans like Bulah. She w'as laid to rest in the Lib erty cemetery Monday afternoon and notwithstanding the down pour of rain you scarcely ever see as large procession as was present to view for the last time the lifeless form of little Bulah.
