vorable .ifpect of the prevailing
difeafe being nearly exterminated
—yet it behoves thofe inhabitants
who may have relieved, and
whofe dwellings remain flint,
to caufe them not only to he ef
fectually fumigated, but white
walhed and aired, previous to
their return.
decide whit effedt the prelent
changeable weather may pro luce
—Hopes are entertained of a con
tinuance of the temperate, for a
few weeks; in which cafe, no
hazard can reluit, by a return of
our friends & neighbours.—This
would indeed be pleaflng, and
is devoutly wifhed
whilfl: in the fervor of our hopes,
we contemplate a return of our
former biddings, let not the opu
lent—the benevolent forget the
numerous families who are de
prived of their heads—the many
orphans who are totally depend
ant on their charity—and who,
were it not for the unremitting
attentions of the Board ot Health,
would have languilhed and died
The approach of
an inclement fcalon, will meet
many poor families unprepared 1
but the fame benevolence that
upheld the flranger, and provid
ed for the orphan, will furely
extend its influence to the fup
port of the unrortunate.
