The natural atone used here in the construction of some of the buildings Is a great factor in making a beautiful city. While this la my first visit to Boise as the represen tative of the United Brass company, I am more than pleased with the re suits." Mr. Mecklenburg has been visiting his friends, Ike and Jake Marks. This Is hla first visit to the city in eight years and ho says the business district has changed wonderfully In that time. W. Hadley, a well known newspaper man with the Examiner, of Ogden, and formerly connected with the Capital News staff, accompanied by Dr. H. B. Forbes, also of Ogden, stopped over here yesterday to meet foriper friends $nd acquaintances, while en route on their world's tour. Valuable data and Information will be gathered by Mr. Hadley while on the trip which he will shape into a series of srticles to be published In leading magasines with which ha has contracts. The departure from the United States for the orient will be made at Seattle by Messrs. Hadley and Forbes, who left Boise last evening for Port land and the sound city? Crossing the Pacific they will stop at Japan, Korea, China and the Philippines. Mr. Had ley has valuable letters of Introduc tion to Dr. Sun Yet Sen. of the Chi nese republic, and to others high in authority in China, which will permit him to interview the president and re view the acts of the new government as well os its benefits to the millions of Chinese people. He expects to make a complete and detailed study of this subject, and thereby will be given very valuable facts for hls-articles. Most of the time they are In China their head quarter? will be made at Peking. Letters of Introduction to General Funsten together with the proper ere dentlals will permit Messrs. Hadley and Forbes to make a complete tour of the Philippines. They have planned a trip Into the interior and a side trip to many of the smaller Islands, many of which few travelers visit. When touring India the party will visit, practically all of the principal cities. Mr. Hadley has made plans and will proceed on his arrival there to or ganize what will be known as the Oriental Chautauqua perfecting It be fore he leaves that great empire. Points In north India, Ceylon and other sections will be toured. Egypt will next be visited by Messrs. Hadley and Forbes. They will go into Arabia where the great lost city of Petrla will bn thoroughly Investigated and probably one of the most Interest ing stories that Mr. Hadley will write will be on the subject of this lost city. Touring through Palestine, the party will start their return home via Spain. France and England, sailing from the English coast after touching at Lon don and other cities. When seen today Mr. Hadley stated that this is not the first globe trot of himself and Dr. Forbes. Two years ago they encircled the world and enjoyed their first trip, but their route this time had been planned differently so that they will see a great deal of new territory. J., Sept. 16.—The Itiner ary of Governor Wilson's Invasion of New England has been practically com pleted by the national Democratic com mittee and was announced at Seagirt today. 'It is possible Governor Wilson will get back In time to make a speech against James Smith, Jr., for United States senator In his home state. The New Jersey primaries will be held Tuesday. Sept. 21, but on Sept. 23 Gnvernor Wilson will speak at Scran ton, Pa., where the state Democratic candidates will he notified of their nom ination and the campaign in the Key stone state will be opened. The New England dates as far as arranged arc: Sept. 26—Hartford. Conn. Sept. 26—Springfield, Barra and Bos ton, the latter in the evening. Sept. 27—Some town in day time and Bridgeport, Conn., at night. It has also been decided that Gov ernor Wilson will make a trip to In clude Denver and other cities tn Colo rado and tn Kansas, Missouri and Il linois aftçr his New England trip.
