Navy to Have Test of Strength in Game With Georgetown — Dartmouth to Play Pennsylvania at Georgetown. New York, Nov. 9.—Dominating the football calendar for the east tomor row stands the game at PittSfturg, be tween Washington and Jefferson and Pittsburg university. There will be other good games—plenty of them— but the fact that Washington and Jef ferson. this year an undefeated eleven, will meet the eleven whose record shows its last defeat at the hands of W & J, makes the difference. Sol Metzger has developed a most powerful team at Washington and Jefferson. It is skilled In attack and has a splendid defense. There wouldn't be any surprise at all If the W & J school should come through with a victory over Glenn AVarner's remark able machine, although Pittsburg Is favorite. The Navy will get a test of Its scor ing machine when it marches against Georgetown. The latter school has not been defeated this year and has been pointted navyward with a view to stop ping the terrible Dobie eleven. At Boston, Dartmouth will go Into action against Pennsylvania. Nov. 9.—Club owners who expect to put over the new league of American Association and Internation al league clubs do not. expect to get through without trouble from the clubs which will be left out. In fact, ac cording to statements made today to the United Press plans already have been discussed looking to a settlement of this controversy before it arises, However, regardless of legal actions or appeals to the National commission, *!the eight club owners are determined to carry the matter to a conclusion.
