Thursday afternoon the Nampa high school baseball team was sound ly trounced by the Boise high school nine in a good but one-sided game played at Nampa, Boise taking the contest by the score of 15 to 5. The game was featured by the close pitch ing of the Boise twirler, Williams, and the hitting of the Boise team, which seemed to be able,to rap the Nampa pitcher at will. The batteries were, for Boise. Wil liams and Brown; for Nampa, John son and Nary. Williams seemed to have everything in the twirling line, allowing but five hits during the game, and striking out 13 of the Junction City lads, while Boise found Johnson for 15 hits, and then followed them u) by getting an equal number of runs across the homep late. Williams, for Boise, led the field In hitting, making five clean hits. Brown was also good, getting two. Lansden and M. Silen hit well. Just prior to leaving for Nampa Thursday afternoon the members of the team elected David Williams cap tain. The new captnln is one of the mainstays for the team, being at home in the pitcher's box or behind the plate. Nampa will play a return game some time this week here In Boise.
