Purt-uant to call of the Executive Committee of Owyhee Couuty Republi can Central Committee of Owyhee Couuty, Idaho, a Conventiou of Repub licans of said county convened at 10 o'clock a. m., July 21st, 1906, iu the court room of the court house of the seventh judicial district, at Silver City, Idaho, aud the same was called to or der by Charles Swaiue, a member of said executive committee, whereupon Mrs. Minnie Westou, secretary of eaid central committee read the call for said convention. A temporary orguLization was then affected by the election of the following named officers: R. H. i-eouard Jr., c' airman and J. J. Bennett, secretary. The chairmau appointed the follow ing committees: Credentials, H. L. Avery, j. H. Scott and Robert Noble. Permanent organization and order of business: Monroe Stevens, J. R. Keith and Ralph Farquhar. Resolutions: diaries Swaiue, Job Lamb and William H. Best. A motion then prevailed that this convention take a recess until 2 o'cluck I. p. m. The convention re-assembled at 2 o'clock p. m., aud was called to order by the temporary chairman, the tempo rary secretary also beiug present. The following named persous having received a majority of ail votes cast, were declared elected as delegates to attend the Republican State Conven tion to be held in Pocatello, Idaho, August 1st, 1906, viz: J. A motion prevailed that the delegates to the State Conventiou be instructed to vote for Hou. C. M. Hays for Judge of the Seventh Judicial District. Objections beiug raised to instructing delegates to vote for the nomination of any candidates, after the election of delegates, on motiou the motion in structing for Hon. 0. M.
