Notice is hereby given, that under and
by virtue of a resolution and order of sale
made by the Board of County Commis
sioners of Owyhee County, Idaho, on
Monday, the 20th day of July, 1908, the
hereinafter described lots, pieces and par
cels of land, situated in the County of
Owyhee, and State of Idaho, will be sold
by the Sheriff of said County at public
auction, at the front door of the county
court house in Silver City, Owyhee Coun
ty, Idaho, on Monday, the 14th day of
September, A. D., 1908, at the hour of
ten o'clock a. m. of said day, or at such
time on the day to which the said sale
may be postponed or adjourned, to the
highest and t>est bidders for cash, which
property is held by said Owyhee County
under and by virtue of tax sale certificates
and tax deeds, and is known and de
scribed as follows, to-wit :
That certain patented quartz lode min
ing claim, known as the LEVIATHAN
Lode, containing 16.90 acres, situate in
Section 1, Township 6 South, Range 4
West, in Flint Mining District, Owyhee
County, State of Idaho. The said mining
claim extends 1500 linear feet along said
Leviathan lode, and is 245.5 feet in width
on each side of the middle of the said
lode at the surface thereof. It is describ
ed in the United States Land Ctfice, at
Boise, Idaho, as Lot No. 37, and is
bounded as follows by the following
named lode mining claims, commonly
known by said names, to-wit: On the
north by the Perseverance, on the west
by the Rising Star, on the northeast by
the First North Extension of the Rising
Star, and the notice of location thereof
appears of record in Book 6 of Mining
Claims, of the records of Owyhee County,
Idaho.
Also that certain patented quartz lode
mining claim, koown as the RISING
STAR lode, containing 15.63 acres, situ
ate in Section 11, Township 6 South,
Range 4 West, in Flint Mining District,
Owyhee County, State of Idaho. The
said mining claim extends 1500 linear feet
along said Rising Star lode, and is 227
feet in width on e^ph side of the middle
of the said lode at the surface thereof.
It is described in the United States Land
Office, at Boise, Idaho, as Lot No. 39,
and is bounded as follows by the follow
ing named lode mining claims, commonly
known by said names, to-wit: On the
west by the Leviathan, on the northwest
by the Perseverance, and on the north by
the First North Extension of the Rising
Star, and the notice of location thereof
appears of record in Book 6 of Mining
Claims, at page 458, of the records of
Owyhee County, Idaho.
Also that certain patented quartz lode
mining claim, known as the FIRST
NORTH EXTENSION OF THE RISING
STAR lode, containing 15.63 acres, situ
ate in Section 11, Township 6 South,
Range 4 West, in Flint Mining District,
Owyiiee County, State of Idaho. The
said mining claim extends 1500 linear
feet along said First North Extension of
the Rising Star lode, and is 227 feet in
width on each side of the middle of the
said lode at the surface thereof. It is de
scribed in the United States Land Office,
at Boise, Idaho, as Lot No. 40, and is 1
bounded as follows by the following
named lode mining claims, commonly
known by said names, to-wit: On the
west by the Perseverance, on the south
by the Rising Star, and on the southwest
by the Leviathan, and the notice of loca
tion thereof appears of record in Book 6
of Mining Claims, ^at page 462, of the
records of Owyhee County, Idaho.

mining claim, known as the PERSEVER
ANCE lode, containing 16.90 acres, situ
ate in Sections 2 and 11, Township 6
South, Range 4 West, in Flint Mining
District, Owyhee County, State of Idaho.
The said mining claim extends 1500 linear
feet along said Perseverance lode, and is
245.5 feet in width on each side of the
middle of the said lode at the surface
thereof. It is described in the United
States Land Office, at Boise, Idaho, as
Lot No. 38, and is bounded as follows by
the following named lode mining claims
commonly known by said names, to-wit:
On the south by the Leviathan, on the
east by the First North Extension of the
Rising Star and on the Southeast by the
Rising Star, and is recorded in Book 6 of
Mining Claims, at page 456, of the records
of Owyhee County, Idaho.
Also improvements on the above de
scribed property consisting of a quartz
mill at Flint, valued at $5,000, and other
improvements valued at $300.00.
The Board reserves the right to reject
any and all bids at the sale above men
tioned. •

Water to Beneficial Use.
Notice is hereby given that at 2 p. m., on the
8th day of September, 1908, at Silver City, County
of Owyhee, State of Idaho, before F. S.
Heer, Probate Judge, proof will be submilted of
the completion of works for the diversion of .8
of 1 cubic feet per second of the waters ol Pickett
Creek, and of the application to beneficial
Raid water in accordance with the terms and
conditions of Permit No. 3766 heretofo.e issued
by the State Engineer of the State of Idaho.
1. The name and postofflce address of the per
son holding said permit is Elizabeth J. Peniose,
Oreana, Idaho.
2. Said works of diversion will be fully com
pleted on the date set for such completion, and
the amount of water which said works
able of conducting to the place of intended use,
lu accordance with the plans accompanying the
application for such permit, is .8 of 1 cubic foot
per Becond.
3. The use to which said water has been ap
plied is irrigation and domestic purposes, and
the amount applied to beneficial use is .8 of 1
cubic foot per second.

Four Hundred Dollars in labor and improve
ments upon the Dollie and New Brooklyn lode
mining claims, situated in Steele Mining Dist
rict, County of Owyhee, and State of Idaho, as
will appear by certificates filed in the office of
the Recorder of said county, in order to hold
said premises under the provisions of section
2321, Revised Statutes of the United States,
hundred dollars having bee > expended on each
of said claims daring the year 1906, being the
amount required to hold the same for the year
ending De ember 31st, 1906, and one hundred
Dollars having been expended on each of said
claims during the year 1907, being the amount
required to hold the same for the year ending
December 31st, 1907 And if within uinety days
