Grand View Irrigation
District.
TO ALL WHOM IT MA, Y CONCERN :
Notice is hereby given that the Board of
Directors of Grand View Irrigation Dis
trict in the County of Owyhee, State of
Idaho, has heretofore duly pnanimonsly
adopted a resolution calling for a epecial
election in and of said District, to be
held on Saturday the Twenty-ninth day
of April, A. D. One Thousand Nine
Hundred Eleven, thereby and thereat
submitting to the qualified electors hav
ing tiie legal qualifications required of
electors under the general laws of the
State of Idaho and who are holders of
land and residents in said Grand View
Irrigation District, the question of
whether or not the bonds of said District
in the amount of One Hundred Seventy
Five Thousand Dollars shall lie issued
by said District by its said Board for the
purposes of purchasing or otherwise ac
quiring from or through the GrandView
Land and Irrigation Company, Limited,
an Idaho corporation, and others,
from others, as the case may be, owning
or to own rights in and to the use of the
waters of Bruneau River in said County,
or rights in and to the use of the irriga
tion system hereinafter described, such
a good and sufficient title and interest in
andtosuch rights and system, and right
in and to the perpetual use and enjoy
ment of such rights and system, either
or both, as may in the judgment of the
Board of Directors of said District be
necessary unto the uses and purposes of
said District for domestic uses on and
the irrigation of tillable land, irrigable
by gravity, within and being a part of
Buch District; such system consisting of
that certain dam across Bruneau River
in Section One in Township Six South,
Range Four East of the Boise Meridian,
in Owyhee County, Idaho, and the res
ervoir created thereby, and all gales and
improvements connected therewith, and
that certain canal leading therefrom and
extending adown the Snake River Val
ley along the southerly boundary line of
said District to the westerly and north
erly boundary line thereof, a distance of
approximately twenty miles; and for
constructing permanent improvements
and additions in connection with such
system.

WHEREFORE, NOTICE IS HERE
BY GIVEN that such election will be
held in said Grand View Irrigation Dis
trict on Saturday the Twenty-niuth day
of April, A. D. One Thousand Nine
Hundred Eleven, and that at such elec
tion there will be submitted to the vot
ers of said District, qualified as aforesaid,
tiie question of whether or not such
bonds of said District in the principal
amount of One Hundred Seventy Five
Thousand Dollars, bearing interest at
the rate of six and one-half per centum
per annum, shall be authorized ; that
surveys, examinations, maps, plans and
estimates have been made under the di
rection of and have been certified by a
competent irrigation engineer, and a
copy thereof heretofore submitted by
said Board to the State Engineer of the
State of Idaho for his report thereon ;
that such maps, plains and estimates and
such report of said State Engineer
on file and open to public inspection by
the people of the District at the office of
said Board at the Grand View State
Bank at Grand View, within said Dis
trict, and also at tbe office of the State
Engineer aforesaid at the State Capitol
at Boise City, Idaho.
At such election, the ballots shall con
tain the words:

' Bonds—No," or other words equivalent
or
thereto.
By resolution of said Board of Direct
ors» heretofore duly unanimously adopt
ed, it was ordered, and notice is hereby
given it is so ordered, that the whole
District be and has been incorporated
into and made one voting precinct for
the purposes of and in holding the elec
tion above mentioned, and that there
be, and there will be, one polling place
only for said
entire District, being the
precinct aforesaid; t liât such polling
place will beat the Grand View Hotel
at Grand View, within said District, in
Owyhee Comity, Idaho; that the poll«
will he open at and Irom eight o'clock
a. m. to and until seven o'clock p. m. of
said election day ; further, that the fol
lowing named persons be, and they have
been, duly appointed to act, and they
wil) so act, as officers to conduct said
election, to-wit:
Registrar—Otto R. Bolen, Secretary
of said Irrigation District;
Judges—E. W. Cairncross, Fay By
field and S. E. Long;
that the Secretary of said "District has
been authorized to give due notice of
such election by causing publication of
this NOTICE in the Owyhee Nugget for
a period of at least fou» weeks prior to
such election (there being no newspaper
published within the District), and also
by posting a copy of this NOTICE of
such election in each of three public
places iD such election precinct for a like
period of at least four weeks prior to
such election ; tiiat the Secretary afore
said has been instructed to furnish the
necessary forms, blanks and supplies for
the due conduct of such election.
Notice is hereby further given that if
such bonds are authorized the said
Board may under the law, to the extent
and as permitted thereby, sell said bonds
from time to time, in such quantities as
may be necessary and most advantage
ous, to raise money for the acquisition of
said property and rights or so much
thereof or any part thereof as the Dis
trict may desire or require ; and for the
construction of said works, being the
betterments and improvements herein
before in this notice referred to; and for
carrying out the object and purposes of
Title XIV of the Political Code of the
Laws of the State of Idaho, entitled
"Irrigation Districts,'' iiDder and by
virtue of which said District was organ
ized, now exists and is authorized to
conduct its business and carry on its
a (fairs.
