Silver City, Idaho Monday, April 8th, 1912 Pursuant to Section 1918 ol the Political Code of the State of Idaho, the Board of County Com missioners of Owyhee County, Idaho, met in regular session at the office of the Clerk thereof in Silver City, the county seat of said County, on Monday, the 8th day of April, 1912, at ten o'clock a. m. Present: Ohas. H. Grate, Chairman; A. J. Harley, Commissioner; and J. S. 8t Clair. Clerk. The following proceedings were had, to wit: In the matter of the petition of T. C. Coffin and others for the organization of the Eagle Cove Irrigation Dis trict: It appearing that a petition in the above titled matter was duly filed with the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners of Owyhee County, Idaho, on the 20th day of March, 1912, and that upon filing said petition the Clerk caused to be duly pnplished a general notice that T. C. Coffin and others had filed a petition for the organization of an irrigation district, which said notice contained the matters requir ed by law to contain therein, and among other things stated that said petition would be sented to the Board of County Commissioners of Owyhee County, Idaho, on Monday, the 8th day of April, A. D„ 1912, at the hour of ten o'clock A. M. Thereupon said petition was duly presented A. H. Grete, Chairman of the Board, be and he is here by authorized to endorse said approval thereon, behalf of said County of Owyhee, State of Idaho, by Its Board of County Com missioners. It is further ordered that the hearing upon said petition be and the same is hereby set for Monday, tho I3th day of May, 1912, at ten o'clock A. M., and that the Clerk of the Board give notice thereof, by publication thereof in the Owyhee Nugget, a newspaper published in Owyhee County, for the period of at least three weeks before suen hearing, In the matter of the petition ^ of M. Whereas, It appearing to the Board of County Commissioners in and for the County of Owy hee, State of Idaho, that the population of the town of Homedale and the vioinity thereof, is rapidly Increasing, and, that the value of tax able property lii said locality will have an im mense increase within a short time, And whereas, the only method of crossing the Snake River at said point, at the present time, is by means of ferries, Ar d whereas, believing that the Increase In population and taxable property In said locality is sufficient to justify the construction of a bridge across said river to accommodate tne in creased traffic between the Counties of Canyon and Owyhee, and that such proposed bridge would be of great benefit .to the people of the County of Owyhee in general, and of Homedale and vicinity in particular, be it therefore Resolved, That the Board of County Commis sioners of Owyhee County, Idaho, indorse the construction of said proposed (bridge, and ommend that the next session of the State legis lature make un appropriation, which, in nection with the assistance received from pri vate sources and the Counties of Canyon and Owyhee, will be sufficient to insure the erection thereof. , Whereupon, it is ordered that this Board take a recess until Wednesday, the 10th inst., at ten o'clock A.
