STATE VALUES $115,680,056.90 Assessments and Valuations of Property by Classifi cation. The total equalised valuation of the etate for 1008 la 1116,880,066. 90 and compared with the equalized valuation of the state for 1907, which was 197,776,462,16, It shows an In crease of 20 per cent In valuations during the year. The assessed valuations of rail roads have been raised 27 per cent over the assessed valuations for 1907, the total assessed valuation for 1908 as determined by the board being 819.068.784.80 as against 815,610, 411.80 for 1907. All other property, assessed by county assessors, shows after equali sation by the board un Increase of 17 per cent over the assessed valu ations equalised for 1907. The total assessed valuation of real and per sonal property after being equalized for 1908 amounts to 696,589,270.76, the total valuation for 1907 being 881.209.878.00. Telegraph lines show an Increased valuation of approximate)/ 30 per cent, the assessed valuation for 1908 being 8366,804.48, while that ror 1907 was 8289,169.90. Telegraph lines of the state show a decrease of less than one per cent In valuations reported for 1907, the assessed valuation for 1907 being 8666,002.46. while that for 190$ Is 8666,696.86. Ada county was Increased approxi mately 10 per cent on assessed valu ations on real and personal property, although the committee of assessors recommended that an Increase of 50 per cent be made. The assessed valu ation of Ada county as equalized by the board for the two years was 610,828.714.10 In 1907 and Is 811. 947,444.36 for 1908.
