During the winter time the covers are removed and are used another year for the same purpose. Hundreds I of these tents may be seen lining the lake shore and dotting^tbe wooded hills and vales daring the months of June, July, August and September. During Ootober tbe greater number of these summer camps aie deserted for warmer buildings elswehere in tbe city or their own homes in neigh boring towns or cities. All spring and early summer this stream of visi tors pour into the city and not until late in the fall has the last one left. Also, every year, scores of them come with the expectations of remain ing should tbe climate, surroundings and people reach their ideals, and seldom does one find such people leaving. Visitors oome from every point in the famous Palouse, who bare acquired laige areas of land and considerable oity property besides bank stook, and per chance electric line stock; from the sage brush lands of tbe Big Bend recently converted into choice wheat or grain farms; or from the noted Coenr d' Alene mining country which has sent forth its millionaire after million aire. After they have enjoyed 'the bright sunlight and pleasant breezes of the lake, the cool nights aod the refreshing launoh trips by moos OLD FORT SHERMAN CHAPEL a light, and seeing the vast resources and opportunities of Coeor d'Alene and its immediate surroundings, the pleasure seeker has awakened in him a desire for a home that he may use auuually or perbnps the year arouud, so a lot or lots are purchased and be fore long another house is added to tbe rapidly growing city.
