Milwaukee, Aug. 8.
Judge Larabee held a special torm of
Court yesterday at West Bend, Wash
ington Co., for the trial of DeBear, tlir
murderer. The jury brought in a ver
diet of guilty of murdar in the first de
gree. The prisoner was remanded to
jail to await sentence. The sheriff star'*
ed for jail with the prisoner surrouna-td
by millitary. A rush was made by the
mob for the prisoner. The millitar)

by a blow on his head with a heavy
atone. The mob then fell upon hiin and
paving pounded ind mangled him ir. the

feet and dragged him through the street

ef a tree. The body remained hanging
until 6 P. M. yesterdav.
