BROADWAY URBANA, ILLINOIS KINDERGARTEN GROUP HEARS FINANCE REPORT Progress made by the Cham pa ign-Urhana Kindergarten as sociation was outlined at a meet ing Tuesday evening in Doug as Park community center, 510-12 East Grove street. Mrs. Ruth Marshall, curriculum supervisor for the kindergarten which is open to the pre-school children of the Douglas park neighborhood, explained the pro gram’s emphasis on preparing the child so that he is “a wholesome, expectant six” when he is ready to enter school. The budget report showed the cost is $3,970 a year of which $2, 400 comes from’the Community Chest. Mothers of youngst* r* en rolled pay $3 monthly but the act ual cost per child is $9.80 monthly. A number of persons have donated “scholarships” to make it possible for more youngsters to be enroll ed. WATCHORN.
