Resolved furiber, that the Mayor be and he is hereby r'qne-ted to notify the postmasters of all infected places not ti forward tiny mail matters to this place until furl ther notice. On motion of Dr. W. D. White, Resolved that persons comine to this town. from uninfected districts sill e re quired to present to the quarantine pi trds a certificate from the proper tnthomiiy of the place such person may hail from, to the effect that such persou has not been exposed to any infectious diseases; and further, that the date of such certificate must show that such person has had am ple time to reach this place, fr.mt the place be obtained the certificate, without delay; provided that p"r-ons coming from any poilts. now, or whit It may heref~er be infec~ed with any contagious diseases, or having traveled on the Morgaa Texas and New Orleans Railroad. or any of the lower Missrssippt or Teche boats, since the date of the certificate aloresaid, shall be permitted to enter the town. Maxwell, on the criminal prosecution funds of! 1878, he cancelled and annulled; that the parishI 'Treasucer imakIe a demand of said Maxwell to re fund the moneys thus paid to him. John Nugier. merchant of Per ry's Bridge presented a petition and documents praying for some modifications to the quarantine ordinance ; read and referred to the Board of Health with plenary powers to act in the matter. Persons as well as goods coining fromn said places, or either of them, are subject to the regulations and ordinance of the town and of the Sanitary Committee, already pub lished. It having been reported to the sanitary confnittee that John N ugier, merchant at Ferry's Bridge, just returned from Mor gE n City, or vicinity, being infect ed with yellow fever with a boat load of goods and the said comn mittee having requested the Mayor to quara itine against N n ier s place and against any and all persons coming therefromn.
