BOGALUSA LOOKS MIGHTY GOOD NOW Meridian, Miss., Jan. 25, 1920. Dear Aunt Rena and Uncle Dobbs: How are yon all, hope you are well. I don't like this place at all. It is the sorriest place I ever saw. I don't see why they put it on the map, because it isn't ^vorth it. It is a lot bigger than Bogalosa, but not one-hundredth as good. I wish all the time that I could come back to a good city and not stay at this sorry place. I work all the time I am out of school, so I won't think about it, because that just makes me want to come more than ever. I sure do miss that good little old Sunday school there, and all the boys and girls around there to play with, because I don't know anybody yet, except about five. I must quit now. Your nephew, MORRIS. 2400% Tenth Street. Misp Florence Kober, state direc tor of the Educational Campaign of the Y. W. C. SPRING IS HERE SAY S GRO UNDHOG You may as well get that spring bonnet ready and look into the con dition of those B. V. D.'s and Palm Beach suits, because spring will be here before you know it, unless Mr. Groundhog is wrong—for the first time in many years. Monday was the day for his official appearance in the open after a rest of several months. He did not see his shadow and therefore remained out, which means that we are to have no more winter weather. SHOWING UNUSUAL PICTURES J. A. Spekenhier, at the First State Bank, is exhibiting an unusual set of. kodak pictures that were taken from the Bogalusa ariplane some time ago. Those of most interest are of clouds about a' mile thick that pre- vented Bogalusans from seeing the sun during a late spell of cloudy weather. The pictures were taken above the clouds. -o— . ■ ■■ --------- « J. D. Frazier of 124 Michigan ave- nue, a regular brakeman on the *JÏ. O. G.
