ROGERS NORTH BOGALUSA SOLD ON EASY TERMS WORK ON SCHOOLS PROGRESSING NICELY The work on the school in North west Bogalusa is progressing rapidly and a large part of the frame work^ is up. With good weather prevailing, it is expected that within 30 days the roof will be on the building and that the work can be completed without delay. The foundation is in for the new school in RicbardsontoWn, and lum- ber has been cut and the frame work will be well under way in a few days. -o LENGTHEN THE CULVERTS Another accident, which could have been serious, occurred Monday night when a large car ran off the culvert on Louisiana avenue. Owing to the fact that the car was running slow no one was injured and little damage was done to the car. The culverts oh certain wide streets do not, in many instances, reach half way across the streets and more than one stranger has gone into a ditch and serious accidents have occurred. While the streets are being made modern, it would be a splendid time to make the culverts long enough to cover the streets, or put a railing along side them. Lindsley assisted Mrs. Moss in entertaining the little folks in various games. ---------- 0- NOTICE TO HOG OWNERS There have been numerous com plaints fjled with me from every sec tion of town because of the damage done by hogs «which are allowed by their owners to roam at large. I de sire to call attention to the fact that there is an ordinance requiring that hogs be kept off the streets. Not desiring to inflict an unnecessary hardship upon any one, I take this method of notifying the public of these complaints and of the exist ence of the ordinance, so that owners may take immediate steps to see that their hogs are properly penned up.
